The M5 sits atop the 5-series lineup; powered by a hand-built 500-hp 5.0-liter V10, buyers can choose between a 7-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) with steering wheel paddles or a 6-speed manual transmission. M-specific suspension and steering help keep all that power under control, while four cross-drilled anti-lock disc brakes provide the stopping. The M5 also features the M Drive button on the steering wheel, allowing the driver to set and save their favorite vehicle settings and access the extra 100-hp when in M mode. Standard features include six airbags, heated seats, mirrors, jets and steering wheel, rain sensing wipers, bi-xenon headlights, active front head restraints, glass sunroof, dual zone climate control, 6-disc CD changer, navigation system, Bluetooth and a 13-speaker LOGIC7 sound system.
